About Us
Hi, welcome to Jerry and Laurie’s About Us page. Please take some time and get to know our family and our mission.
Where to begin. . . well, a little about our lives, Jerry and I have been married for nearly 10 years, and we have two children, RoseAnna and Joey. I am a high school teacher, and Jerry works in law enforcement. We live in Wisconsin and attend Praise Fellowship Assembly of God Church (a link to our church website is in the left-hand column).
Jerry and I were both raised in Christian homes where we came to know the Lord at a young age. Although we both strayed from our faith for a short while, the Lord is faithful, and He spoke into our lives and returned us to Him. Daily we seek spiritual growth and know Him more. Since our first mission trip in 2004, we have come to know that sharing Jesus’ love for the poor and less fortunate is our calling.
We have been actively involved in short-term mission trips for the past 4 years as both short-term missionaries and mission team leaders. RoseAnna was able to join us for her first mission trip this past summer to the Dominican Republic, where she unfortunately broke her arm, and we became educated about health care in a third world country. This summer we are planning our 6th mission trip. Our team will spend a week working with homeless children and families at Samuel’s House in Caracas, Venezuela.
